Ideal for ceramic heater

This creates a lot of space around the ceramic heater. These things get insanely hot and that makes them a lot safer for me and my snake.

Overheating in the terrarium Heat lamps and mats

The ceramic part of the lamp gets very hot from the 160 watt heat lamp. It can be ok with 100W or less. The seller stated a maximum power of 200 watts. This is false advertising.

Nice lamp though. - Heat lamps

This lamp has a number of advantages and several significant disadvantages. The advantage is that it gives the lizard more UV radiation. It is lightweight and portable when needed. Defect. It burns out my rather expensive UV lamps at an alarming rate. Junking this site only, for another brand.

So far so good for reptiles and amphibians

just understood. Looks good and good quality. I give one star for the misleading product name. The product page seems to say it comes with a thermometer/hygrometer, but it doesn't. There are two options on the product page, one for this cage light and one for the 100W ceramic heater (with thermometer/hygrometer). The seller should correct the product page to clearly distinguish them. But for now it looks like a good cage light. I don't use the actual clamp part, so I can't comment on that part.
