Brilliant design! The quality of the long-haul is still unknown.

Just got it so these are the first impressions: Really brilliant design - the smartest I've seen (and I've tried many). This one worries me for the same reason that others have failed to impress me in the long run - build quality - especially the zips. The Nomatic can't match the quality and smoothness of the zippers on my 10 year old Tumi backpack. I quickly get annoyed by "sticky" or wobbly zippers. I gave it the original 4 stars based on the design. If it showed the build quality of my Tumi…

The Nomatic scratches for me, but I really like it.

A review of the Nomatic and North Face refractors. I bought both and ended up sending North Face back, but not without hesitation. Comparison below quality - undoubtedly the north face. The material was thicker, stronger and the zippers were stronger. The Nomatic is a good bag, would easily give it 5 stars if it was in the $200 range. The zippers on the Nomatic close well. Function - for each day I give to Nomatic. The backpack is quite compact, but can be expanded up to 30 liters. Able to…

I can only recommend this backpack!

I was a bit skeptical about the durability of the backpack but after a few weeks of traveling around Europe I can say this backpack is fantastic! I've stuffed it with a week's worth of clothes with compression packs and have had no problem using it as a personal item on budget airlines (it fits under the seat in front of you).

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

$200+ bag that falls apart in less than a year

Bought this bag to test for at least a year before writing a review. I travel a lot for work and in less than a year this bag broke both the zippers and the buckle on the chest. One could argue that this bag was well thought out and poorly executed, but to pay the amount this bag is worth the problems I had shouldn't be. You can buy a Dakine for a fraction of the cost and it will last 5 years. Don't be fooled by the initial hype surrounding this bag.

Honestly, I love my backpack. There are several things to consider. It scratches easily and doesn't seem very durable. I've had it less than a year and it's scratched from travel. One of the locking buttons was completely missing with no sign of breakage. Unfortunately, if I pay over $200 for a backpack I would expect a lifetime warranty, but unfortunately that's not the case. I have contacted the manufacturer several times through their website and through Revain. Never got an answer. Part of…

Not worth $250: Backpacks

I bought it with an open mind but returned it after one ride. The design is imperfect in many ways. Zippers with a lock will not do you much good because there are additional zippers on either side of the buttoned pair. This is not the invention of the backpack as they claim. There are so many alternative products here that offer more for $35-$60.

Pros
  • It's OK!
Cons
  • Hard to say

The price corresponds to the quality.

I was looking for a good backrest to carry all my travel electronics and it ticks all the boxes. I've had an AER Duffel 2 and an Incase Icon bag and it's much better in terms of storing and transporting essentials. The material is great but it gets dusty and shows dirt BUT you can easily wipe it off. I have a 14" Razer Blade and it fits in the laptop compartment. My iPad Pro 9.7 with the case fits easily in the tablet and still has room so I'm confident the 10.5 and possibly the Surface Pro…
