🎢 Exciting Magnetic Retro Magic Rail Twirler: A Nostalgic Toy! Review

I love how easy this toy is. It requires no batteries and consists of only 2 parts. Just stick the wheel on a stick and watch it roll back and forth. The colored lights are an added bonus, but once you're done with them you'll need to make sure the wheels don't touch the sticks or the lights stay on all the time.

Oh my god, that was the greatest achievement for my grandkids! I bought these because I had a similar one as a kid and I remembered loving them so I bought them for my 3 grandkids and they can't get enough of them! The backlight is a huge plus as they didn't do that in my day (I'm jealous!). They're inexpensive and like I said, kids will enjoy them for hours!

That's a good price for a magnetic toy that actually works. I was hoping to use it in demos for my students, but the ones with straight sides instead of jagged ones work better. They tend to get stuck and resist movement. Also, the red stopped glowing about 1 minute after use. I have one from the 1970's, heavier, straight sided that works much better but doesn't light up. 6 on one side half a dozen on the other.

Bought this toy as a gift for grandchildren. I remember having the original version of this when I was a little boy and how fun it was as the toys required some effort/imagination on our part. They came packaged 3 per box. Attach the wheel to the rails, watch it light up and start spinning. Although these are "simple" toys, boys love them and by taking turns using both hands we develop hand-eye coordination in the "free hand" too. .I have to admit I liked them too!

At least that's what my 7 month old would say if he could talk when I let him play with it. Even at 2 years old, that's the first thing he pulls out of his toy bag when I look at him. He likes that it's magnetic and lights up and all discs hang on the same rail with other magnet toys. However, changing the battery is tedious. I loosened the tiny screws but ended up removing the wrong side (it was easier) and the bulb came loose. Maybe a chart or comb would help.

These are the funniest toys! My kids got them in their stockings this Christmas and they are by far the most played objects. They're scattered throughout the house, and even us adults can't help but pick them up and spin them around. This is a lot of fun and interesting to play with. I bought these for my kids and they love the lights. There is no switch to turn on the lights, they turn on when the metal grommets on the side of the wheel are attached to the rails. While this is convenient, it also means that you have to be careful when transporting it, because if the wheels touch the rails, the battery will be dead. I was an 80's kid and we always had these as kids. When I looked through and saw them and saw that this is MY toy with the added bonus of a light, I MUST have ordered. I wanted to give these to my 5 and 6 year old sons and share some of my nostalgia.
