Perfect! fits food strainers

This is a quality bag. I bought another one afterwards and wow - it's a much better quality. The second barely works! The extra large opening makes emptying and cleaning very easy. The cable is safe and durable. Great. I would have bought more but it was sold out.

Pros
  • fits many
Cons
  • unreliable

Very satisfied, good for food strainers

I use this to strain yogurt. It's big enough for a full gallon and feels very durable. The fabric resembles very thin nylon but has very small holes through which only whey comes out, not real yogurt. Very easy to clean and dry afterwards. I'm very glad I bought this and stopped buying gauze.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Clarity

Perfect for straining a gallon of yogurt

Bought this to strain my yogurt whey after making it. I usually make a gallon batch at a time, and other nut bags I've used have been too small to hold a full gallon. This bag is big enough to fit in a large colander and it's very easy to pour yogurt into it. I had no problem adding a gallon of fermented yogurt to drain. This is a fairly flimsy web that separates excess whey from the yogurt too easily.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

That's all you need to get your serum out! :)

I've only used it once to make Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. It cleans easily, wrings well and air dries fairly quickly. I've only used it for half a gallon, but I'm sure it could handle a gallon just as well. Much better than messing around with a bunch of coffee filters or gauze. I don't hang it up to pull it up, but the extra long rope makes it versatile and it stays in place. I will be buying another one so I can make different batches at the same time. I am very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great yogurt strainer

I bought this to strain the yogurt I make in the Instant Pot. I put it in a colander that can be put back into the inner pot and leave it in the pot with the lid on in the fridge overnight. In the past I've used coffee filters, cheesecloth, or even a nut milk carton, all of which are dirtier or, in the case of coffee filters, have much less capacity. This piece works like a dream and is easy to clean. I've also used it for draining and squeezing moisture out of cucumbers for tzatziki and it…

Pros
  • It's got something in it
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others

Fits colanders in food strainers

I use it all the time to strain homemade yogurt. I put it in a quinoa strainer I bought from Revain and drained the liquid into a bowl that I placed under the strainer. The mesh size of the yoghurt bag is perfect. This allows the liquid to drain and all of the yogurt stays inside. My plant-based yoghurt looks like cashew or almond milk after fermentation. Always liquid. After straining in the fridge for 4-6 hours, what is left is thick Greek yogurt. I bought this for my best friend because I…

Ideal for straining yoghurt.

This bag is ideal for straining yoghurt. I use a gallon of milk when I make it and the bag is big enough to hold the whole batch. Whey runs off without loss of yoghurt. I simply place this mesh bag on top of a stainless steel colander and place it over a bowl. I put my yogurt from my InstaPot in a bag, bring everything along with a plate so the yogurt doesn't absorb the flavors of the foods in my fridge, and put everything in the fridge to drain for about 6 hours (I like my yogurt thick )…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
