I have a Holmes - WEMO humidifier that uses a Homes "W" filter. These filters are hard to come by, often out of stock from the manufacturer, and last less than three weeks. In the past I have had to top up filters for the entire season when they became available or face the reality of living in very dry air. Not as absorbent as paper. Water does not rise so easily, and if it flows for a long time, it even dries up completely. I can work with it since the space is so small and I'm tired of constantly changing paper. I just have to close the door to keep it from running too long and drying out.

This didn't work for me. I have a humidifier that has water at the bottom and this filter doesn't pick up water like the original filters do. This filter was only half wet and even less after a few weeks, about a quarter of the way. I was only able to cut a piece for one side of the humidifier, not enough to use for the other side. So with what I paid for this filter I could buy 2 originals. I expected to save money in the long run, but the product doesn't work.
