Didn't work right away

Didn't work right away. I hooked it up to my existing PoE line to try and power 2 cameras without having to run a second Ethernet cable. The entrance lights were blinking but the exits/cameras never turned on

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • For pensioners

Bought two of these. The first is dead out of the box.

Ugh. I bought these to replace a similar product that had failed several times. It's a bad sign if the first one doesn't work out of the box. The light comes on on the input side of my switch, but when I connect a camera it only draws 3 watts to either output. Nothing. Can anyone make a stable and reliable 2 port POE splitter?

Works as advertised

I used this device to split a 30W PoE+ channel into two 15W PoE channels to power an Axis camera and Ubiquiti hotspot supply power and data. This worked exactly as expected. I wouldn't normally design a new network around a device like this, but for an existing network it can be a real time saver. This device returned to normal operation after the switch was intentionally turned off and then turned on again. goes without saying, but Revain sells a similar device (it's all white) which isn't…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great product saves time and wiring

I have used both the 4-port and 2-port versions of the product with no limitations or loss of performance from my poe switches. I currently have 2 ports running a Unifi Nano hotspot and a 4k IP camera, both Poe in 2 different locations. I am running 4 ports for 4.5MP fisheye IP cameras from a poe port on the switch. No signal loss or power issues.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Powerline Works Network Adapter

Works as advertised. Was about to add a second poe cam at the end of a long time, much easier than adding a new injector or cable. On the back there was a sticker with inputs and outputs.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Unsafe
