🏕️ Rhino Rack Universal Awning Bracket Kit - Channel Mount for Sunseeker and Most Awnings (Black, Up to 2.5m) Review

Screws are soft and break easily. Cannot be used upside down in Rhine Rack HD without modification. I wish I hadn't waited so long to install, I wasn't stuck with brackets that I would either have to change or not use.

Purchased to mount an ARB tarp on 4Runner factory racks. These brackets are strong and sturdy and the holes line up perfectly. I have used Yakima Universal Might Mounts and purchased M6 x 20mm metric hex bolts/washers/nuts for a no-drill installation which I am very happy with.

I have previously bought and used longer universal brackets from the same manufacturer/brand and they go well with another awning brand. So I bought these to see if they would work on two load bars from the side/end and they seem to work. I think they're a little pricey for basic corner metal, but pretty much everything on the off-road market these days. Delivery obligation.

I was hoping this kit would be a good choice for my Rhino Pioneer roof rack and ARB canopy but didn't feel it was a good price -Quality ratio also recommends ARB 3 brackets so finally brought it back. Instead I bought 3 sets of ARB awning brackets which are much stronger than this set. You can find them in another online store for a better price. Of course, you need to buy some more M8 -20mm bolts and nuts for installation

The screws in this kit are too soft and too long. When tightening the brackets for my first ride with the product, one of the bolts sheared off. The defective screw came loose from the nut and damaged the roof rack. The screw had to be drilled out to remove it. This rhino accessory is expensive and I expected quality (or at least some level of safety!) for the money. Now I have an unsafe product and permanent damage to my roof rack.
