Riedell Skates Roller Skate Light Review

I would suggest ordering one size larger than your shoe size. Unfortunately they didn't offer a size 13 so mine is a bit tight. You can find different ways to lace your skates online to ensure your comfort. However, the design is fantastic. The boot is made of very good material and should be strong enough. Hope to update this as I work with them but love them now! A bit tight which is good for stability but stiff for circulation and getting used to long sessions and breaking in. Walked around the house once and then swapped out the wheels for Atom Pulse wheels as I intend to use them primarily for outdoor use. I've had these skates for about a year now. I don't ride every day, but maybe 1-2 times a month. The skates are in great condition and still look great! They are very durable. My main complaint is that the wheels and bearings are junk! I mostly skate (races, not derbies) indoors on covered and uncovered trees. These wheels are very slippery for me! It's fine at cruising and light moderate speeds, but once you start pushing hard in the turns to gain speed, your legs will slip out from under you!

EDIT: After riding a bit more I'm deducting a star. Two problems. First, the bushings (spacers on trucks) were too soft. To learn to skate, I like my trucks to be tight and they don't allow that. I updated them (about 20 corrections). Another problem is the nylon plate. The way the kingpin sits in the plate and tightens as you adjust the bogie is an issue. The screw ripped off the plastic.
