Just as battery-friendly as it is to use.

I first used this analyzer on a very poor 10 meter antenna I installed in my car for my FT-857D. I got it to oscillate while studying and working but it ONLY took a while because the antenna is oscillating out of range. I could easily see the screen from the outside and two AAA batteries made it through with no issues. This analyzer was recommended to me by a radio amateur who I trust very much. So far, so good! There are many videos on YouTube about how this analyzer works and what it does inโ€ฆ

Great tool for portable audio and video

I had an AEA Via Analyzer but needed calibration and a software update - at this price point RigExpert was the best option. I was enthusiastic about the product and my solution. My only concern after receiving the product was reading reviews that suggested I probably wouldn't enjoy the two-year manufacturer's warranty. I asked a Solid Signal dealer and he said he was an authorized dealer: the warranty is valid. I am glad and happy to see their success. (I am in no way affiliated with Solidโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

An excellent analyzer with a HUGE negative.

In fact, this analyzer works beautifully (although it will drain a set of batteries fairly quickly). Either indoors or on a very cloudy day. This screen is absolutely unreadable in sunlight. I don't mean direct sunlight light, but ANY sunlight. Don't plan to do a lot of "antenna" work with this device. Inside it works perfectly and very well even on very cloudy days. When the sun is out, forget it. Sad but true.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • High price

Best Antenna Analyzer

This is the best antenna analyzer. It really shines when you plug it into your laptop and see how the antenna performs across the spectrum. Do you have a question about your coaxial cable or connector? This analyzer performs time domain reflectometry, which means you can check the status of your connection depending on the distance to the analyzer. Problematic connection after 50 feet of coaxial cable? This analyzer will tell. More importantly, this analyzer won't give you weird and bizarreโ€ฆ

  • Absolute Legend

  • Not bad, but...

Easy to use, well suited for portable AV devices

I read reviews of various analyzers and watched several YouTube videos before settling on the AA-35 zoom. I received the analyzer, put in the batteries, connected the antenna and started scanning. My current RF antenna is a center-fed dipole, all in all 40 meters long, 11 meters high and tuned to inverted -V, and the analyzer showed good and bad sides. I then connected it to a dummy load. What I really like is the antenna viewing software that allows me to view the data on my 23 inch displayโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Best bang for the buck to date!

This is the best value among RF analyzers. It is easy and intuitive to use, durable and does not require many batteries. only 2 AA batteries. This color display is bright and clear. It has a SO-239 connector at the top, not a BNC, so you don't need any adapters. The SWR sweep is very fast and tells you exactly what you need to know. Is my antenna too long or too short and where is the lowest SWR right now? In addition, it comes with a protective case with a shoulder strap at no extra chargeโ€ฆ
