Item not as described

Spent more time returning this one today. In particular, the protection of the cheeks is spoken of and this is also shown. Guess what. No cheek protection

Not legal for boxing USA

Very deceptive. Although the photos are legal by US boxing, this headgear is not legal for competitive bouts. If you're looking for competitive headwear, look elsewhere. Now I have to go back and get another hat.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons

good fit and comfort

good fit and comfort, only annoyance is the strap is too short and uncomfortable to use. It needs a longer strap and the headpiece is exactly the size of my head (22 inches) at the bottom. I don't understand why the strap is so short. Otherwise it's good, but it's a pain to offer

Pros
  • nice packaging
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others

does the job. not the best option

Used for about a year until I decided to upgrade. It does the job but honestly the visibility is pretty poor and if you sweat enough the buckle will rust like mine eventually did. There isn't much protection for the ears and the cheek pads are pretty flat so they keep my nose there. Spend the extra $10 on something better.

Good quality. good protection.

Do you like being hit in the head or kicked? Of course. everything we do But if you get enough hits, you'll find that a little extra protection comes in handy. Wear this headgear and you will have this protection. Will he stop a bullet or a knife? no Will this make you look like Shatterstar? Controversial. Does it protect against punches/kicks? Yes.

Decent headgear. The chin strap is a bit short.

I have used this twice in box sparring. It does a pretty decent job. Offers good protection, removes a bit of peripherals, but my field of vision is still good. Had to adjust it after a round or two to get it just right, but was ok after that. Although the chin strap is a bit short. Might be a problem for some. Definitely recommended for beginners and amateurs.

So good my trainer confiscated it

Before I bought the Ringside Competition headgear I used a similar version of the Twins Special. However, due to a lack of foresight, I bought a red Twins Special hat. Since red is not a neutral color, I had to find a solution ahead of the upcoming tournament as I might be fighting from the blue corner. As a last minute purchase and with very limited options available I ordered a Ringside Competition head for possible use at a recent Muay Thai tournament. As this was my first experience with…
