Would hit the waves in the ocean and the old one would just go round and round (NOT SURE IF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE BOAT EVER RUN DOWN) that the new one fell into within a few minutes and never strays off course

My factory device had a crack in the dome and liquid leaked. Considered sending it in for repairs and instead opted for a replacement that includes service revisions/upgrades. Works like a charm and the price was nice. Glows in the dark again!

The F-50 Explorer compass is the same as the one that needs to be replaced. The installed screws were supplied along with a brass adjustment tool to correct the "deviation". The two-wire lines are unpolarized. Includes mounting gasket. Installed like the original. The pack card said "Repairable" but the hydrating fluid is not reusable.

I used to have one like this, it worked fine but was just getting old and ugly so I decided to replace it. Installation wasn't difficult as I just dropped it in the hole and even the screw holes matched. I haven't calibrated it yet and it may not be necessary. I don't navigate with a compass as I don't go that far and I usually have cell coverage for my phone app and I also have GPS.
