Works for all LS series engines - 4.8 5.3 5.7 6.0 LS1 LS2 LS3 LS6 L99 LS4 LS9 LSA LQ4 LQ9 L76 L92. Helps align the front and rear engine covers for proper seal function and longevity. Crafted from Billet aluminum & Quality steel with great durability and tight tolerances for a perfect alignment. Perfect for engine builders and mechanic to replace the front or rear main seal for GM LS series engine. Without the seal installed, center/align the cover on the front seal or locates on the inside diameter of the seal bore in the cover. This tool set mimics the balancer and oil pan to provide critical alignment of the oil pan and front cover.

Fantastic Front End Tool

This front end tool is simply fantastic. Based on our own experience, we were able to align the front end of our automotive with ease. The precision-billet and heavy-duty construction make it a durable addition to our steering and suspension tools. The tool is also portable and easy to use. The only downside is the cost, but the quality of the product justifies the price. Overall, this is a must-have tool for any automotive enthusiast.

Close but no cookies

Rear cover alignment tool was a little out of round, didn't fit the crankshaft. I got it working with a lot of careful grinding and measuring. Edited to add: The seller contacted the seller, they did everything right.

A must have for any shop

Works great and is very useful when the gearbox is not installed. For those who don't know, you have to install the gearbox in order to install the oil pan. This kit allows you to align it without it. That's great when you're pulling the gear and makes the job a lot easier.
