Scrape-o-matic: Exterior Accessories

Very sturdy construction but the tip is so long that your machine is overly sensitive to road scrapes even when traversing small bumps.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Drop tube opening is about 1/16 inch too narrow

Seems very strong but doesn't fit the hitch I was trying to install. One of my clutches fits, but I wanted to use it and didn't.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Has problems

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mismanufactured and cannot be repaired

Holes do not match and the pin is difficult to insert. The angle now puts more stress on the clutch. πŸ₯΄ I'd love to trade for the same correct one, but they won't let me!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Protect your trailer hitch!

This lowers my tow hook 4" almost to level when it was too steep without that 4" drop. The most common reason for hitch failure is that the hitch is not level between the RV and TOAD. This undeveloped condition will also void your clutch warranty.

  • Amazing

Will NOT work with 2 " thin wall tubing.

I purchased a Roadmaster 4" High-Low Receiver to connect a hitch mounted Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Cargo Pipe to lift over a car exhaust pipe. The Cargo Carrier's 2" hitch did not fit into the Roadmaster's 2" socket because the inside corner radius was too large. It's very well made but doesn't work with 2" thin wall tubing.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Some Issues

Pay attention to the possibilities of this extension.

Had the equally rated Roadmaster 6" Hi-Low Extended Towbar for two and a half years with no problem towing a Jeep Wrangler. Expect the same experience with this towbar. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Just pay attention to the listed extension capacity , as it relates to what you want to drag!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

Bent after only 5,000 km of towing

I used this hitch to tow a jeep behind a camper van. I used a hitch to make sure the hitch was level and parallel to the ground. After 5,000 miles of towing, I noticed the hitch was starting to sag. The cause was found to be a bending and loosening of the clutch. The hitch is heavy and looks like a tank, but for some reason over time it started to bend. I erased it from the system and drove another 10,000 miles with no problems. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem. Not sure if it was

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Great price
