Difficult to work with: Floor coverings

I've installed so many laminate floors that I needed a new unit, the old one had worn corners. Lol so i ordered this and when i opened the package they fell out realizing that this pad is very thin. So to use this block I have to drag the hammer across the ground to hit the next tile. so cheap i won't send it back just keep for extra charge. PS watch your fingers lol

Pros

Super useful tool when installing vinyl floors

installing vinyl floors in my master bedroom (it's my second time doing flooring) I saw the tool in a YouTube video, which I looked at and decided to try. Man I'm so glad I made this thing, it worked amazing! I also bought: POWERTEC 71479 Pro Laminate Tie Rod. These 2 tools made this job much easier. Great purchase as I have 3 rooms to replace the floor.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Requirements for installing vinyl flooring

I was struggling to install a vinyl plank floor. I ordered this tool and it changed everything! Using a rubber mallet and this tool I was able to fit tight pieces that I couldn't fit with scraps. This block has cutouts to align with the floor mounting system so you can tap it hard enough without damaging the floor. The tool is absolutely durable. It's simple design and easy to use.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Disappearing

It worked while it lasted.

Block helped me install laminate in the upstairs hallway and part of the bedroom before it broke. About half of the side with the double notch is broken off. The other half is still usable, but I'm concerned that the hammer's force won't apply to the entire block and could damage the floor. For under $10 a plastic block it's worth it, but if you have a lot of floors to install I'd recommend buying a second one just in case the first one breaks.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Only available in black

Used on Lifeproof - Flooring

I've used mine on every Lifeproof sheet from Home Depot. I tapped the block carefully so as not to damage the floor. The Edge started to get unreliable around 800-900 sqf. I bought a second block because protecting the floor was more important to me than hobbling along with a tool that could damage the edge of the floor if I slipped. It will work. I've used both sides for different parts of the job. Haven't tried it but I think the edge can be touched up with a clean cut with a table saw, a…

Excellent value for money

Just laid approx. 150 sqm. Feet of vinyl plank kitchen flooring for a friend and I bought this tapping block when mine was starting to wear out. The tapping block worked great and I liked its length as the base was 12x24 and the length of the block was perfect for tapping on both the short and long sides of the base. It also had a nice edge that matched my tiles perfectly without damaging the studs. I would agree with some of the other comments that if you are making a very large area you might
