Pack Rok #8 x 5/8″ screws are good screws for very small projects. I've used them on both drawer slides and some very small hinges. from deep threads holds fast.

I wish I could find a smaller quantity but I couldn't find it at any of my local hardware stores. I could have gone to a store that specializes in fasteners but this was more money for less. Black cabinet hardware is pretty popular these days, so you'd think it would be available at Lowes or Home Depot. It's not like this.

Good and sharp, durable, good value. I'm old enough to remember the times when they weren't available and it was very difficult for me to drill pilot holes to get the screws right in. Now just place one of them on the drill press, bang it on a piece of wood, pull the trigger and voila! work is done.
