Suitable for splicing. The only problem was that the wire had burrs, probably due to the extrusion process. Instead of going back, I just sanded them down. No clues now

. The leash I use is braided kevlar and is stiffer than regular nylon. The needle worked well but an F15 size would have been better.

I bought two of these because the first one was defective and had burrs in at least two places. And destroyed the inside of my line. Revain wouldn't leave me, so I bought another one. The second was just as bad. I do not recommend. Nice concept though.

Nice gadget for double braiding and other tasks. However, a 1/16 inch piece of music wire is much more versatile. It's a little overpriced for what it is and how to replace it, so I'm deducting two stars. The main problem is that sometimes it just doesn't have enough length. I have about 100 feet of piano wire, so I can make my own any length needed. Anyone who can figure out how to splice a double braid should be able to figure out how to use a piece of wire instead of a gadget for it. Maybe…
