I bought these roof rails and crossbars less than a year ago. I have used them less than 10 times to transport my bike when traveling. When using it recently I noticed that my bike wobbled a bit so I thought the bolts were loose. I remove the bike rack and see that the crossbar at the top was completely snapped, if I had left it in place my bike would probably have broken completely on the roof which would have created a major safety situation. When these rails and cross members were first used, they bent completely and nearly caused a serious accident on the highway. I had two Thule J-Bar kayaks securely attached to these bars. The weight was 120 pounds. On the way home we heard a loud crack and stopped. The noise was due to the bars fully yielding to the weight of the J-Bars and kayak. Luckily it didn't break completely and shattered my sunroof. If you plan on using these crossbars to haul gear, just buy well so you don't buy twice.

However, they packaged the parts very well, shipped the package within a day, and shipped it with FedEx priority so it's easy to track, and it arrived 6 days after I ordered it.
