Good product, does what it promises.

Clean, simple kettle. Advantages: - Keeps water warm for a long time - Removable lid makes the kettle easier to use. Other kettles had a lid that caused problems after a while. Other things to watch out for: - The kettle is a bit heavier, maybe due to the double layer. But it's good, the case doesn't get hot at all and the water inside is hot. - A little bit higher. Wish list: - Variable temperature :) We don't want to boil water all the time, we need warm water most of the time.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Keeps water hot for hours

This is a good kettle that boils water quickly and keeps it hot for a long time. Others who have complained about the "overcomplicated lid" are unfamiliar with the traditional thermal design. You need a waterproof cover with a gasket. All the best double-walled thermos flasks and coffee carafes have them. Once you put a regular lid on this kettle, you lose the ability to retain heat. Note that this thermos is very heavy, especially when full. And for a teapot, it's quite tall.

  • Expensive but decent

Boils quickly and keeps the temperature of the clock

Water boils very quickly and stays hot for a long time. It's a bit awkward but for me as a man it's great but I know my mom will have a hard time pouring it. It's quite heavy when full and the handle is thick! It's hard to explain, but if you're perhaps older and have small hands, this might not be for you. But I like it, much better and faster than a kettle on the stove. Keeps water hot for a few hours. Cooks very quickly! It's just that the grip is unbalanced and thick. But no complaints…

Cooks fast and learns

I've had it for over 18 months now and use it several times a day and it's still working as well as it did when I first started. Water boils a lot faster than a stove. The insulation isn't amazing so it's fine if you just want warm/warm-hot water after a few hours (my personal preference). Other people have also noticed that there are "rust" spots on the underside. As far as I know these aren't rust spots, just leftover tap water when you boil it. I've had similar issues with all of my hard…

Stops working quickly, support does not support.

Update 2021 . Bad product followed by bad customer service. I fixed bugs and the $5 counter didn't work. Customer service talked about sending me one but then said they couldn't. You either have to design and sell good products, or you have to have great customer service. Roseville does neither. We need to stop buying from these throw away companies. We buy a vacuum kettle from another company. Original rating. Doesn't hold heat, the statement "155 degrees in 6 hours" is incorrect. The concept…

Pros
  • Well Built
Cons
  • Volume

Bought this kettle after my old Breville started behaving erratically. I liked the idea of a vacuum insulated, double-walled, stainless steel kettle that didn't require complex electronics to keep the water warm. However, I only decide to return it 10 minutes after taking it out of the box. First, the kettle is too tall and its handle is poorly balanced, making it difficult to keep filling upright. Second, the designers made a very complicated and impractical lid to provide the claimed thermal…
