Other things to watch out for: - The kettle is a bit heavier, maybe due to the double layer. But it's good, the case doesn't get hot at all and the water inside is hot. - A little bit higher. This is a good kettle that boils water quickly and keeps it hot for a long time. Others who have complained about the "overcomplicated lid" are unfamiliar with the traditional thermal design. You need a waterproof cover with a gasket. All the best double-walled thermos flasks and coffee carafes have them. Once you put a regular lid on this kettle, you lose the ability to retain heat. Note that this thermos is very heavy, especially when full. And for a teapot, it's quite tall.
