poor quality control

The shroud didn't fit any of the mounts I put in so I had to sand them down, the arc guides were so out of spec I had to replace them The only one useful part was the shell, and after polishing the shell became unusable. I do not recommend

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Great purchase and good fit.

This is my second helmet I have bought but it is the better built of the two! This protects your head from bumps and the cost makes it easier to protect your head! Well stocked accessory rails, clips and other fixtures for lighting, camera and action were a bonus!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Quality

Disappointed with the quality but works once completed

I had to trim the HB housing as the helmet has imprecise tolerances. Long-term comfort is TBD, but I was able to mount my MV mount in the end. It was cheap, cheap, well. The straps are tight on one side to center the chin. Disappointed overall but it will still work well for a hunting NVG mount.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are nuances

Buy a Lancer Tactical instead. . .

Lancers are $7 or $8 more, but they are more versatile and of better quality. The built in night vision hood did not fit my mount and had to be modified by Dremel. Back then the mount wasn't as secure as it should have been and I wouldn't trust it with my $3,000 glasses. The chin strap is uncomfortable after long-term use. Nothing wrong with that, my Lancer just worked right away. Instead I chose to use this helmet with a cheaper NVG Gen 1+ and an epoxy mount directly to the shell. This setupโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor issues
