I recently purchased a PC Products Rotten Wood Repair Kit, Water Based Hardener, Epoxy Paste and Epoxy Putty, 1 oz, 84113 to repair water damage on a friend who was standing on their porch. The porch is solidly built, except the builder didn't create a way for rain to drain off the structure. As a result, water pooled at the base of the walls and support columns, which are located at the lowest points of the structure. I had damage to the outside of two wooden window frames because a squirrel was chewing on the wood and trying to get inside. This product worked very well to repair the damage. The set is very complete and the instructions are easy to follow. A few notes: PC-Petrifier is a very watery liquid, so it tends to spread and leave small marks (once dry) if it gets on undamaged wood. . I didn't notice these marks after the final sanding, however, but don't let it slide over wood you won't be polishing.
