Type of review

I read the early reviews and was wary. Installed this adapter with no problems. My tire is 33 inches by 10.50 and fits perfectly. During STEP FOUR, I stopped tightening the non-locking nuts before the wheel stud serrations were completely flush. I was reading a review when someone ripped the threads off. It would be helpful if the manufacturer recommended a torque load for this installation. The tire is mounted above the bumper. I have a 2" receiver that still works with a 33" hoop fitted with…

An amazing product that allows you to have a larger spare wheel for .

Great product that allows you to fit a larger spare wheel for those who have upgraded the main wheels/tires. A practical and cost-effective approach compared to retrofitting a Wrangler with a new rear bumper and/or spare wheel carrier to accommodate larger tires. Combined with the 1986-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK TJ LJ YJ CJ LED Spare Wheel Stop Ring, this is a great modification for Jeep enthusiasts on a budget!

There has to be a better way to secure the bolts.

The first thing that struck me, and this is my attention to detail, is that the spare tire lugs are not on a perfect triangle, meaning the Jeep logo is not horizontal when the tire is mounted stays straight. Plow either up or down, as opposed to the factory. Seeing this worries me. Second, when you tighten new standoffs with washers and nuts, the bolts are not tight. Even if you tighten it all the way, the pin will still rotate. They had to find another way to secure those studs. That's why I'm

Holds the tire well

VERY complicated assembly. A pneumatic wrench was required to install the bolts. The picture in the manual says "Picture for JK" but the screws were installed right in the WRONG holes for the JK. (discovered after I started installing). The extension pins are offset from what is factory installed on the door. With all that metal and space it would be VERY easy to line up the holes. I now have a very expensive spare wheel bike rack that is unusable because the new bolts are misaligned/tilted by…

Do not recommend this product

Product arrived with paint chipped and damaged. No problem, I adjusted it, it stays out of place behind the spare wheel. The next problem was that you had to put spikes in it because it fits several wheel models. The way it's made doesn't really have access to hammer it in, and I don't have a press to build something on to press it in, so I had to use one of the nuts that came with the product Insert the pins. I hand started them all and then painted them with my Milwaukee Impact. 2 out of 3 no
