🔩 Rough Country Hidden Winch Mounting Plate for Chevy/GMC 1500-11002 (1999-2006) Review

Easy to install, easy to read instructions, worked great on my 2003 GMC Sierra, pair it with a xbull 13000lb winch, fits great, would buy again.

I put this on my 2500, had to change the holes in the back and reconfigure the furthest hole, I have 8 inches left to make it to the bottom The edge of the front reaches the bumper, which I didn't mind.

Great hidden winch mount. I just installed it on my 2012 Suburban with roll bar. Very well done. Installation was fine with a small adjustment and a small cut out on the plastic bumper. Very happy with it.

This product is great! The only thing is if you have 99-01 the cutout at the bottom of the bumper could be done better. Instead of cutting out the whole piece, cut it out like a hole. rectangular hole. Don't cut out the whole piece. Look at the photos.

They say it won't work with anything other than 06 but I installed it on my 2003 Tahoe Z71 and it worked great. I drilled 4 holes and screwed everything together. The only issue I had was having to knock the nuts out but other than that it worked great, put a 12000 winch on it and it snapped straight into place.

So far satisfied with this product. Installed about 3 months ago. The winch has been used several times. The sturdy construction appears to be very well made. Very easy to install and the instructions are very simple and illustrated. I currently have an XBull 10K synthetic winch installed. Perfect fit for this mount.

I rarely write reviews but this product made me feel like I should - I was skeptical that this mounting plate would fit my Tahoe 04, I could do not check the make and model. I realized what the heck, I can still return it if it doesn't fit. To my surprise, it fits and sits very well, be sure to read the instructions completely, you only have to drill 4 holes. The winch is perfectly installed, it's almost invisible, just what I wanted. Good job, rough country.

Assembling my 2002 GMC Yukon XL 1500 4x4 with just a torsion bar took about 5 hours total. Yes it fits SUV models easily, I don't know why the Rough Country website and Revain say it doesn't. Installing with a 13,000lb SpeedMaster winch, the longest part of the installation was figuring out the wiring on the winch. The rest is pretty easy, the first time I played around with a winch. Anyone with the tools should be able to do this. I couldn't find a 15/32" drill bit as per the 4 screw hole…
