Description of πŸ”§ Stainless Brake Lines by Rough Country for 71-87 GMC C15/K15, 4-6 inch (89340S)

DOT approved brake line kits offer the necessary extra length to install your application, perfect for anyone who wants to swap out poor performing or decaying factory brake lines. Stainless Steel replacements offer superior protection and a seriously long lifespan. Braided stainless steel exterior keeps your lines free from off-road debris, rocks, and mud that can penetrate factory rubber lines. Durable outer layer prevents expansion of the internal Teflon layer. High Quality hollow fasteners at both ends of each brake line and at both ends provide a leak-free flow path. Backed by Rough Country's Lifetime Replacement

Didn't fit, ordered wrong

They are well made, just didn't fit my k5, wrong flare had wrong thread pitch. I figured it out after the 30 day mark so maybe I'll find a use for them in the future since it's too late to go back.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not optimal for braking system

Not suitable for 71 k20 as advertised. The lines were no longer than standard which wasn't even a problem. The fitting at the end of the caliper line was square with 2 lugs and should be round with 1 lug. The wrong size thread was on the other end of the line.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Almost never

The lines are great, but the brake discs don't fit

The brake lines are perfect. Well built as you would expect from a rancho. Unfortunately I cannot give this product five stars as the washers on either side of my caliper did not fit the bolt. Still an excellent product.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons

Longer caliper bolt required

Looks like the end of this caliper hose is too thick. With or without crush discs. My screw only goes in about 2 turns. Spring clips that came with the hoses. The one that stays in the frame. They don't seem to fit at all. While I put the clips in place. They splintered / broke and flew. I had to use the original screw on the mounting nut. The length goes well with my 76 C10 with 4" lift.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Appearance
