Description of Rough Country Stainless 1999 2004 89705

DOT approved brake line kits offer the necessary extra length to install your application, perfect for anyone who wants to swap out poor performing or decaying factory brake lines. Stainless Steel replacements offer superior protection and a seriously long lifespan. Braided stainless steel exterior keeps your lines free from off-road debris, rocks, and mud that can penetrate factory rubber lines. Durable outer layer prevents expansion of the internal Teflon layer. High Quality hollow fasteners at both ends of each brake line and S at both ends provide a leak-free flow path. Backed by Rough Country's Lifetime Replacement. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Probably wouldn't buy them again

Lines I think they were generic Didn't line up properly and almost had to bend them to fit. A line leaked and I really had to squeeze out more than I needed.

Wrongly programmed. for brake system

They're cheap and hopefully last a long time, but they don't work properly. They require a 90 turn to get into the bracket on the frame where they connect to the hard line. I don't feel good about it, but it's there and they work.

Pros

Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The originals broke where braided line met steel line saw this as a common problem but at the time it was easier than customizing something. Got the truck back on the road

Excellent product also suitable for excursions

I used them on the 2000 excursion, this model is not listed as suitable and I wasn't sure if it had an extra hole to close Going to another line for another model but it comes with a connector which I used, they came with new hardware ie. H. Break washers and clamps, the original banjo is reused, it went very quickly after the factory lines were loosened, my excursion also only has 3 inch block plates. Don't lift a 6" jack, but I just made a big loop and tied all the brake, ABS, and vacuum…
