Depending on you for 4 cars. Oldies.

I am a retired US Navy fluid dynamics expert and I rely on this brand but do not believe in it. Your products do what they say. These extended range filters also help those family members who delay an oil change by a month or two - Insurance. It's also not bad logic to let the Royal Purple filter treat your RP oil. Engineers It's very cool when you can say your car appreciates the brand. TY RP

2008 Subaru Legacy GT

I have used this oil filter for the last 3 oil changes and this time the filter failed to install with my hand as intended and it did 3 times. I had to use a filter strap wrench to install it as it was leaking oil and was not fully tightened. I will most likely have to pierce it with a screwdriver to get to the next oil change and I will use a different oil filter.

Looks like Purolator, a Mobil1 hybrid.

Filter media looks the same as Purolators synthetic media, filter size, media size and bypass valve are identical to Mobil1 Extended Performance. However, there were a lot of metal filings on this filter (see photo). In my photos, the Mobil1 filter is on the right. I cut this filter for a friend, I have never used a Royal Purple product before. If it weren't for the pile of metal shavings, I would have given this filter 4 stars. If it had a test bypass valve and a larger media I would give it 5

The best oil filter money can buy. Forget the rest.

The best oil filter. All materials are synthetic glass. Properly constructed with an anti-drain check valve next to the threads. This type of installation, when the threads are down when the rear end is set higher, as opposed to a filter hanging straight up and down or hanging backwards, will work correctly. Also has the best combination of filtration and flow imo. Ideal for thicker oils like Redline. Built like a tank. Simply the best filter and yes I have tried and tested ALL. Trust me this…

Royal Purple Oil Filter 10-2876 for Nissan 370z, 10-2867 (1 inch longer) also fits original 370z but does not fit Mishimoto Oil Cooler

02/10/15 THIS ITEM WAS DEFECTIVE, same problem as all previous reviews with a broken/loose valve inside which rattles. I had to buy a replacement locally for this model 10-2876 which I checked first to make sure it wasn't defective. Revain still have a surplus of these broken filters which they still ship to ignorant buyers but this defect only seems to bother this model number (10-2876) as I have also bought other Royal Purple filter models from Revain at the same time as each other.
