I chose it for the handles, holes and the fact that it's stainless steel, a combination I was happy to find. Had to return it after trying it and being exhausted getting it through pizza. Pooh. WHAT hard work! I had an idea of Italian greatness as I sliced my pizza with ease. And it looked so cool. , it CAN cut through. I'm almost half his weight and a foot shorter, so I used him as a machete. Needless to say we didn't have a good pizza that night. I bought this as a gift for my pizza loving daughter to make cutting and serving pizza simple and easy. This is a solid metal plate wrapped with a handle on one side. The edge is sharp enough to cut pizza but blunt enough not to cut your finger or cutting board. It has good balance and an easy swing that cuts thick and thin pizza cleanly.
