Great idea and savings on measuring the right amount of yeast. Why use two scoops when you only need one, and as an added bonus, it lives in my 1 liter jar in the freezer along with my Bulk Yeast (SAF). And it's damn cute!

I mean it's such a hassle to measure out TWO teaspoons and then a QUARTER teaspoon. At the same time, I simply dip it into my yeast jar for baking bread. Boom. Did. One dirty spoon instead of two. OK, it's just me. I can't resist the comfy, if unnecessary, shiny thing.

Yes I could measure dry yeast with the measuring spoons I have but when you mix things up and collect ingredients it is more convenient and easier to using this to get the right amount of yeast in a measuring spoon. I don't use packets and dry yeast in bulk so this is a great tool.

It's easy, just scoop two scoops 1 and a 1/4 teaspoon of yeast. But it's quick and easy and only messes up a scoop. Although, in all fairness, if I'm baking bread then the whole set of spoons is most likely over anyway. I measured this ball on a scale (I bake by weight) and 2.25 tons of active dry yeast really weighed how it should. This is a unit tasker, but it's quite small and doesn't take up much space.

I like it when I can bake bread, I can just scoop it into a jar once and it's done. This has held up well for hand washing so far and after I'm done with my last two cans of yeast I might consider buying them in bulk and leaving the rest in the freezer. This spoon is heavy and well made. It doesn't seem cheap and if you're looking for an easy way to measure yeast I'd recommend it to anyone who's asked me.

Very nice spoon! I liked the idea of not measuring but just using a spoon. I gave it 4 stars because I use my bread maker to make the dough (I take it out to braid before baking). The spoon holds too much; The dough runs out of the machine when I fill the spoon with yeast - I have to give a maximum of 2 teaspoons to avoid this. It's a cute little spoon that I like. I keep it in my yeast bag in the fridge just trying not to fill the spoon.

I love this item! When I started making my own bread regularly, I couldn't believe there was an uncounted 2.25 teaspoons in it. Turns out I was just searching with the wrong words. I've still only found this one and another and the other was double the price. The ONLY negative I've found with this thick, sturdy measuring spoon is the lack of a hanging hole; But I like to get around it because when baking small batches for farmers markets, adding 3 scoops of yeast, batch by batch, was time consuming. This spoon helped me make yeast bread baking easier for only $5! For me, the time savings make this product a great value as it saves me about 40 minutes a week scooping yeast.
