Useless. Breaks under load even if you use it.

Useless. Will break under load even if you use one on each stud. Shelf, screw and bolt are stronger, so it is a week connection. Use these instead, the same size and made of steel, not plastic, they work. ClosetMaid 7561 Concrete Mount Shelf Brackets Packed of 12

Cheap plastic is good for garage storage

My Rubbermaid shelves fell off and these brackets literally broke in the middle. Now I'm installing these out of metal and they're a game changer. They seriously hold up MUCH better. I would also recommend drilling them into studs. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and frustrations in the future. Your shelves will be much more stable with these metal brackets: ClosetMaid 7561 Concrete Mount Shelf Brackets Pack of 12: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GKXS12/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_…

GARBAGE! My three shelves crashed with it!

I wouldn't highly recommend avoiding these clips (unless you really enjoy clipping your shelves over and over again). You are useless. They came to my house with shelves and when my first shelf broke down I went out and bought the same ones thinking I might have overloaded the shelf and replaced them. I put about half the weight on the same shelf, but for a little over a year the same shelf collapsed again while I was on vacation. Two other shelves in my house that used the same cheap, poorly…

Pros
  • Waiting
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Useless!: Home storage and organization

I agree with the previous reviewer: They are useless. The instructions say to install a support every 36 inches. I put a brace on each stud which would have been overkill. Six months later, my shelf fell over with a bang in the middle of the night. All clips are broken in half. My garage is a mess Thanks for the tip on where to buy the metal version Update: I bought Closetmaid 7561 clamps on the recommendation of J. Scott Mahan but they are too wide to fit between Rubbermaid's bars. I'm not…

Pros
  • For extra support for any wire shelving when installing open shelving or installing
Cons
  • Expensive
