Rubies Luau Pet Costume XXXL Review

I have a 75kg English lab, bought XL. The shirt has a 'tail' like a tuxedo on the back, which I found odd because while my labrador is heavy, it is quite short. I think a tail would be more appropriate for a large dog, such as a Great Dane. I simply cut off the tail and sewed the back in a straight line. A little tight around the chest, but luckily it fits just right.

It's hard to find a shirt or suit for a big chested dog. That being said, this Hawaiian shirt fits our 75-pound greyhound with no problems. The whole family, including our two greyhounds and our cat, dressed up as if we were vacationing in Hawaii for Halloween. We've been a hit with everything I could find here on Revain. All the items I bought were very reasonably priced so my wallet wasn't hit too hard. ;0)

This dog shirt runs small and lengthens. I had to cut it in half but it still didn't fit the stomach and chest area very well (Photo 3). When my dog wasn't moving it looked fine so for photos it worked but it bunched up and the velcro didn't stay together when it moved. My little guy is a Jack Russell/Blue Heeler mix and weighs 21 pounds (or so). and since he's recently recovered from a wild boar attack he's gotten a little thicker in the middle so I figured a larger size would have worked…

I chose this item because I thought Ruby's Costume knew how to dress a dog and I liked the pattern and colors of the fabric. (I received a shirt with a different pattern and color - a VERY annoying habit on Amazon.) I received a size that fits her measurements according to the provided size chart. I knew I probably had to make some adjustments since she has very large breasts. I knew it would probably be too long, but it's better that it's long than not reaching her breasts. (God how long it…
