Too bad I didn't buy it.

Like - External controller. Dislikes - Too bright light, too loud click when turning on/off. Lights up very often, as if the temperature was right next to the heater. The tank cannot swing as often if the whole tank is heated evenly. Off/On between 84/85f constantly.

Best suited for aquarium heaters and coolers

I installed my heater and installed it straight away. It sucks right into the tank and doesn't move at all. Setting the temperature is the easiest thing I've ever done. and so on pace. Ok update after 3 months and my heater stopped working, not a good heater.

If one worked as intended or lasted more than a year, I would be in for a shock.

I've had several and NONE of them have ever lasted more than a year, less in most cases. They also don't work as advertised most of the time. There are inexplicable bugs and once you get them, you can throw them away.

I like this heater very much.

I really like this heater for many reasons. First, it regulates the temperature within 2 degrees. Second, the heater displays the temperature right on the heater, which is very easy to read anywhere in the room. I use an optional digital thermometer to monitor the temperature in the tank and this heater maintains an accurate and consistent temperature. Beware of reading errors. (Edited)

I have purchased two of these heaters, 300w versions. One works fine BUT the other light was on indicating the heater was on and also reading the temp. I set 77 degrees BUT it didn't heat the water and I lost my aquarium because the water was so cold. The heater only lasted a few months. I bought it in February and it broke at the end of April. Guarantee for 30 days but lasted about 60 days. (UPDATE) The company contacted me and sent a replacement heater, that's all I can ask of the company…
