Looks great but will rust over time.

I bought it 4 years ago. Initially I was very happy with my purchase. The fenders are made of durable steel, easy to install and give your Jeep a great look in addition to additional rear light protection. Unfortunately, after 3 years, rust appeared under the paint. I sanded down and painted the rusty spots. After 1 more winter of salty roads, they rusted again. I recently replaced my taillights with a JW speaker and have decided not to reinstall the guard. I'm a bit disappointed. This is what…

Just So, So - protective vest

Let me start by saying that this product is overpriced for what it is. Not worth $50, maybe $15-$20, and $20 would be excessive. Other than that it looks good and was what I was looking for, eye candy for my 2013 Wrangler. Easy installation only took a few minutes and as I said, it disguises itself. This protects your taillights from everything. no But if you want looks and don't want to spend more than $100, buy them. Update, I wouldn't recommend them, spend the extra money, they've been in my

But looks good. on Light Guards

I bought these because I like the two extra horizontal bars that aren't in the Mopar Jeep taillight cage! The side frame is well designed and keeps the same distance between the frame and body of your jeep. When assembling, first attach the frame to the side of the headlight that has the two longer screws. Use the supplied gasket, but do not tighten it, leave it loose. Position them on the jeep and put spacers on the two bolts (they attach the body to the jeep) that were shorter. Now tighten…

A little cheap feeling

I went to the dealer to buy Stock Guards and was shocked when they said $215. the price is crazy, that's how much a new lantern costs! Still, I decided I would check it out. Firstly they look like they are matte in the picture but they are actually glossy. The rubber washers they're talking about aren't rubber, they're plastic, which isn't a big deal, but the attention to detail never hurt anyone. Another deceptive feature of the slipcovers is that they only have a half loop, meaning the…

Better than I expected

At $27 I was expecting a cheaper "feel" but they were better than I expected. The color is a bit shinier than I expected, but that's easily corrected with PlastiDip or light sanding with fine sandpaper. The 4 screws that come with the product are fitted with 4 rubber grommets on each side to prevent the light shield from touching the taillight's plastic assembly, adding a nice finishing touch. Can't mess up the installation, very simple, comes with a picture and step-by-step instructions, so…

These are the best guardians.

It's been said before, of course, but I suggest you shouldn't expect them to actually protect your taillights from anything. In my opinion this is purely an aesthetic upgrade, one of the few I would like to add to my Jeep. To me, that says a lot because, by and large, I'm more of a human than a form. just like those Rugged Ridge Guards, and they were significantly more expensive. These are good strong metal railings that are quick and easy to install. I am very happy with them. I will…
