This rug pad was easy to take out of its packaging and easy to lay out. I wanted something thicker than the .25 inches most pads come in and this is it. I can definitely feel its thickness under my feet when I walk on the rug. But I was also hoping for a cushiness that this pad does not deliver. In fact, it feels rather hard and like another layer of wood under the rug. It is non-slip and I can confirm that also. Because of the missing cushiness, I rate this with 4 starts.

My family was debating weather the backing smells of smoked herring or rat pee. Airing out did not help after a day and my hands smell after touching. However, the non-skid works as advertised. It will not give you any cushioning. There is warp from packaging. Don't buy it for a light rug, it would not lay flat. The 10' x 10' size was correct. Hope the out-gassing will stop after a few days in the sun.

What a difference this has made under the area rugs. Soft underfoot. Didn't have to trim at all, perfectly sized. No complaints.

Arrived in good shape. Keeps the carpet from moving around. Evens out the feel of the floor and adds a little cushion. May not be suitable for use with decorative or area rugs with intricate patterns or designs.

Moved into a new house with wood floors in the bedroom. I bought a knotted rug for the boys' room that was sliding around like crazy and had no padding. Bought this for the non-slip features and also a little padding. Works perfectly! Rug stays perfectly in place. Would buy again.

I purchased this to go under a woven rug and 1/4" was just what I needed to add some softness! It was easy to trim off the excess to make it the perfect size for the rug. I am very pleased with this product!

Thickness was good for my carpet. Note: the pad is rough cut to size by the seller and is not square. It will need to be trimmed to size to even up all sides. Order larger size than what is needed. Pad can be cut easily. Pad seems to be well made.

We have a large 10’x8’ rug which is located on a carpet. Since we had had this rug, over a year, we have had problems with the rug rucking up as a result of the direction of the carpet pile. We have tried other remedies but to no avail.This product took 15 minutes to put in place, the rug positioned on top (in accordance with the carpet instructions with the felt side down) and the surplus felt trimmed with carpet scissors. Problem solved. No more rucking of the rug. Thank you

This underpad arrived quickly and was packaged so that it was very easy to place and position on the floor. It seems well made and is exactly as described. We are awaiting the new rug to place on top of it; but it's nice to be able to give it a few days to lie flat in place.

Pad still slips on hardwood floor and seller is extremely tough to work with on returns.UPDATEAfter I fully explained my situation, they refunded me! It was a lot of back and forth, but I am just as much to blame for that as the vendor. I would buy from them again.

The pad is exactly as I expected.Easy enough to trim for a custom fit.Provides the anti-slip/shift quality that I was looking for. It’s a thinner pad so if you need more cushion buy a thicker pad.

this pad is a great in-between - the yellow grip pads tend to stick to the hardware floor, leave marks, and are not cushy and do not real sound dampen - the rug pad bought from a rug distributor is expensive and sometimes too thick - this pad is the best of both - a nice flat adhesive surface and pad on the other side. you can purchase different thickness' . we need to trim ours and have not done so yet so I can not comment on how easy or hard that will be - it feels great underfoot and cuts…

Greatest rug pad in this price range; the padding is super thick, which (of course) makes the rug more comfortable. But the selling point is the rubber back: it really grips to the floor, and the rubber also adds weight to the pad in general so that helps it stay put as well. I had a hard time lining it up on my hardwood floors by myself because once it’s down, it’s hard to move. Highly recommend!

Easy to trim to exact size. Holds even smaller rugs in place. Adds a bit of cushion for a nice feel under your feet. That's my review.

After years of frustration using flimsy slip-prevention mats for small rugs in front of doors and the kitchen sink, I bought this product. It is absolutely slip-proof on tile and hardwood floors and is easy to mark and cut with heavy-duty scissors. 1/8" thickness works just fine.

I have always used foam pads in the past, but you have to piece them together with tape, and they slip and slide. I decided to spend a little more and get the actual size I needed with the non-slip rubber backing, and I couldn't be happier. It is a nice amount of padding, and does not slip! Safe for my large dogs and my grandson. I am very happy with my purchase!

After using those thin no skid pads and ending up with rugs that wore out too quickly, this thick felt with rubber pad was a great find! While clearing out the old rug and pad I was amazed at the dirt and debris which passed right through the rug and thin net-like pad, yuck! This one feels great underfoot and makes our new rug feel so much nicer. There is no way that a pad like this would squinch up under the rug and get lost either.
