Description of Russell 693370 Break Line Kit

Edelbrock's R&D staff is not only well qualified at their respective positions, but they're also automotive enthusiasts who do more than work in the automotive aftermarket--they live it--and it's at that point where understanding the inner workings of a supercharger, or an engine, EFI system becomes second nature. Whether they're manifolds, superchargers, fuel injection systems, cylinder heads, nitrous systems, or carburetors, you can rest assured that the final product was directly influenced by the passion for performance that is an integral part of our Edelbrock team. Every product we design and sell at Edelbrock is tested and approved by Edelbrock engineers in a real world environment on state-of-the-art equipment. In a day and age where we are seeing more products sent overseas to be manufactured, Edelbrock sees value in the quality control of American manufacturing by American workers and we are proud of our casting and manufacturing facilities. Edelbrock facilities have earned the world recognized ISO 9001: 2008 registration for quality.

No more squeaking. best in spare parts

Installed these on my 2004 Ford Focus SVT. All I can say is that the brake pedal no longer squeezes. They feel very firm and seem to improve braking performance. After they were installed I installed a new set of slotted and knobbed EBC rotors front and rear.

The brake line kit is the best in hoses, lines and fittings

I have only installed the front lines from the kit so far because one of the factory lines went bad. Both front lines seem a bit short. They're not too short to work with, but another half inch of cord would make me feel better about not being long enough to work with. They look great, installation was easy and straightforward.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Worth the Bling: Hoses

Had these on my 2003 SVT. The front lines are worn out after three years of daily driving because they are short and reverting to rubber. I honestly didn't feel any noticeable difference between the rubber/SS/rubber transition. I really think I like the modulation of the rubber more. I've always used Hawk pads and Centric rotors and fresh fluid in the system. You looked beautiful.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Thin

Excellent hose quality

Installed on my 2003 SVTf ZX5. The build quality is excellent, the fit is good, the front lines are a bit short but they fit without any problems. I installed them on all 4 wheels and noticed a significant improvement in pedal feel. I bought these because one of my rear lines had collapsed causing the caliper to hang. I wouldn't say it's worth an upgrade alone, but if you need to replace calipers or lines it's definitely worth getting those in addition to the repair.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Update available
