therefore the seal has gotten much better over the years

The original seal for my Lopi Endeavor wood stove worked well for 8 years and very little for the 9th year before I changed it this year replaced on the Rutland diagram. - Glass seal, only realized after two months that it is no longer as tight as the original equipment. The original gasket had an inner core, making it thicker despite the same 7/8 inch diameter and providing a much better seal over the years. Looks like I'll have to replace a Rutland product after less than a year of use and…

Worked great on my Lopi

Worked great on my Lopi. I removed the door, laid it on a workbench and scraped off the old glue and gasket. I then cleaned it well. I lay the gasket dry in the duct and cut it to length. Slightly dampen the pad. I then applied enough glue to the gasket channel, smeared it around the perimeter, and reinstalled the gasket, starting at the bottom corner. I'd say these last ones are pretty good. I burn two or three bundles of firewood every winter. According to Revain, I last bought one of these in October 2013. It is now October 2021. You need to provide four things to know you have the right gasket for your oven.
