Charger not Included

Revain should make it clear that it doesn't include the charger. Had to buy separately once it was delivered and couldn't use it.

Not enough current?

I recently purchased two of these batteries and they seem to not have enough current to start my 40 volt Ryobi blower on high they'll start it on low and then I can proceed to high it's like there's just not enough current in them I haven't tried them in my chainsaw yet that'll be here in just the near future maybe I can update the review

  • It worked well for three months and then would not charge any more and was worthless!

Lasted one charge good for me

I charged the battery fully, used my chainsaw until it died. It lasted a decent amount of time. Charged the battery and then removed from the charger. Went to use my chainsaw the next week and the battery was dead. Will not recharge. Very disappointed. 70 bucks down the drain! That’s what I get for going the cheaper route. Never again.

Good fit but limited longevity

This battery fits the Ryobi 40V charger and tools and works perfectly, except that the battery only lasts about half as long per charge.

Take a pass - Not the same 6ah batt that came with the mower

Got it expecting to have a second battery just in case I needed one after mowing the front and backyard. Totally disappointed after breaking it in appropriately - it literally mowed 25% of my front yard before dying. The original battery that accompanied the mower, also a 6ah, (double in size) out performed this batt incredibly! The original battery cuts my front and backyard with no issues at all - I LOVE THE RYOBI MOWER - but if you’re looking for that "what if” onboard mower battery #2, take

Just junk.: my feedback

Bought this a couple of months ago.worked fine with its original charge. After it slowed down, I put it on the charger, and it informed me that it was defective. Tried again.no luck. Noticed that one of the other reviews had the exact same problem.Caveat emptor

Don’t buy it! for my opinion

This charged up well for the first use but lasted for 2 uses and NEVER charged again! Not worth the time or effort. That's my review.

Didn't last long - my new review

I only used this battery about 4 times. Sometimes I do a lot of weed eating where I don't have access to electricity so I got this battery so I would have a backup when the original one died during use. Tried to charge the battery after the last use. The charger reports that it is defective and will not charge it. The original battery charges fine and works fine. I didn't run this one all the way dead so I am confused as to why it is defective.

I went back and bought another

The original battery that came with my Ryobi failed after 4 years. The cost of this replacement was less than half what Ryobi wanted. I used the replacement for about two weeks with good results, more run time. Had a 2nd 40V original fail so I purchased another.

  • I have many Ryobi 40v items. This battery works on everything but my 3 yr old leaf blower.
Cons
  • Used with trimmers blower edger and chainsaw appears to function properly
