they are made of flimsy plastic and they don't last long. After we opened and closed our knife box multiple times, they lost their spring/locking ability almost immediately. I do not recommend.

I bought these for the house and they were so easy to use I've been buying more when we go on vacation. They are inexpensive, lightweight, easy to install and easy to remove. I keep them in my child's suitcase when traveling so I can easily secure my child in any hotel room or rental home. I can even use them when visiting relatives and they don't clutter up the closets!

Bought new but the item arrived in very poor condition as can be seen in the photos - the original packaging of the snaps was visibly torn and then sloppily glued together. When my husband tried to install the latches he said a couple of parts were missing. This is not surprising as the item was again torn when it arrived.

12 years ago I had to buy these locks. Although this is a distant memory, I was very wary of buying it again last week. I wasn't smart and didn't listen to my instincts, don't be like me. Enough time has passed that I've forgotten why. They might as well have been toy screws. You need 97 tools just to install them, and halfway through the installation you'll be so sick of them you won't care if they're installed correctly. 12 years have passed, and this company still has not included…
