It works great!

I've had one of these for 50 years and wanted to buy one for my daughter as they are very useful. I didn't know what it was called so it took me forever to find it. It works great!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Annoyed

You know how to use it for yourself.

Not suitable for raw potatoes or cheese. Maybe it works with boiled potatoes? Disappointed with this grater. I couldn't find any instructions on how to use it on YouTube.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Best hand grater for kitchen and dining room

I love that the wires are soldered to the frame so they don't pinch during use. Erasing was twice as fast because I didn't have to separate them again. Definitely served its purpose and is easy to clean

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other graters

Other uses in the kitchen and dining room

I haven't used this as a grater so can't comment on that. If you simply gently push a hard-boiled egg through a grater set on an open bowl/container, the diced size is perfect for egg salad. Just add mayo or whatever you want. I do this while the Lille egg is warm.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Waiting time too long

good tools: graters, peelers and slicers

I bought this to grate potatoes after reading some reviews. Don't grate potatoes. I've tried but it doesn't bother her. Some people say he cuts boiled eggs for egg salad so I'll try to do it with this utensil. I was disappointed to find that it doesn't work like a grater, like a stand up.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some little things

Good for cutting hard foods

Bought this item for my mom after my aunt used it to make potato salad. My aunt is in her 30's or 40's and we figured we wouldn't find her or get the same quality. This grater is almost identical but with a good construction. We've been using it ever since, it's great for boiled eggs etc. Only suggestion would be not to use it for boiled potatoes (for potato salad) or maybe undercook them first. Otherwise, your salad's potato portion may look more like mashed potatoes.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Useless functions

Could do better

Growing up I had the Acme version of this. This Stanton looks similar but the rows are a bit uneven and not as well made. Also, they take the "safety" part more literally since the wires are more rounded. My older one had a bit more bite and worked better. I don't think I would have hurt myself with the old one, but I don't think it would have been impossible. The quality issues are probably more aesthetic than anything and not worth going back.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
