Works great in my commuter lt

Plug and play works perfectly Save the engine and get this unit, just plug it into the OBD2 port and you're done, faster throttle response, 2011 Chevy Commuter LT 5, 3L with msd coils and a K&N Blackhawk cold air intake, this unit has made my ride so much better

Saves your General Motors engine

If you have an Eco version An engine that switches from four to eight cylinders while driving, the eight cylinder circuitry lights up and helps prevent head damage. General Motors will not tell you this will happen to the engine. Plus, fuel economy increased by 2 mpg! Worth buying. The only downside is that the car has to be unplugged for diagnostics! Follow the instructions and disconnect the battery to install! Find the right one for your car

This device is a godsend for us GM owners with AFM/DOD. I had intermittent issues with the bank 4 lifter getting stuck in 4cly mode after a fall. It will sort itself out in the end, but I knew it would fail. To prevent a complete failure I needed a way to prevent the elevator from falling. So I had to find a way to prevent the engine from going into 4 cylinder mode. There is a trick, you can put your truck in 3 mode instead of D (Drive) and it will stay in 8cly mode. Does exactly what it says.

I wouldn't normally recommend anything that can interfere with the increase in fuel economy. I'm also not a proponent of anything other than emission gear. However, in this case, when AFM causes problems, it outperforms the alternative. On my 2016 Silverado with 5.3L, a whole bunch of pushrods were replaced under warranty a few years ago.
