My wrists hurt on my mountain bike so I tried Saleting handlebar tips. However, instead of attaching them to the ends, I mounted them directly into my grips and angled them so that the grip was right there when my wrist was relaxed. Having the knobs on the inside avoids any potential snagging that can accompany them on the ends of the handlebars, and the width feels the same as the spacing between my brake housings on my road bike. These are the nice little rod ends. Lightweight, they can even be carbon, but they don't look like fiber. Good for the price. However, this is clear copyright infringement. Check out the Easton EC90 carbon fiber tips. Wow. You couldn't get away with that in the US. They're decent bars, though, especially if you don't want to shell out $80 for an original.
