Outstanding properties! Very well built and designed

The Revain description and manual has the features we've come to expect from a device like this. And it works fine as expected. It even comes with a high-quality car adapter. Samlex has become my regular supplier of inverters and chargers.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • No instructions

Fairly usable basic inverter

No ground contact, but easily adaptable with an adapter. There's no on/off switch, so unplugging is the only way to turn it off. HF is loud! Erases almost anything below 18MHz. It seems to be coming from the bottom of the device. The fan is a bit noisy when switched on.

Pros
  • Very good price-performance ratio
Cons
  • Frequency

no better compact pure sine wave inverter

Powers your MacBook Pro from the cigarette lighter with no hassles or heat. There is no substitute for a pure sine wave inverter. My modified 300w inverter kept shutting down and was noisy and hot. For small loads there is no better compact pure sine wave inverter.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Fits perfectly in the car

I was looking for something small for the trip, searched a few days and found samlex pst-120-12. Works as described, small and my wife was glad it was small. I tried this several times and had 0 problems. As long as you keep an eye on the power supply, this works fine for me.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Minus present

The real thing. Don't mess with cheap junk.

Genuine. Don't mess with cheap junk. This is a REAL inverter that gives you "real" sine wave AC power that won't damage your devices (like a crappy square wave). Not only that, he's gotten a lot better. I've tried at least 6 square inverters that have just failed, smoked, fallen apart, etc.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Great product great company

I've been using this thing every day for the last 3 years literally every day in almost very harsh conditions. I've been guilty of leaving it on for a few hours on a hot Texas summer, getting back in the car and hearing the fan running, and never had a problem. After walking around cars for 3 years, I somehow mixed up the power cord (from the cigarette lighter to the block), probably through my fault. I contacted the company to get a replacement via email. They called me the next day and sent…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some issues

Reliable, quieter than most inverters

This inverter is better than average. I bought it to power my laptop for mobile ham radio work. The most important characteristic of an inverter is how much (or how little) radio noise it generates. When used in a car, the inverter is very close to the antennas, so any noise will interfere with the radio signals and render the radio unusable. While this device isn't completely silent, it's quiet enough that the noise it generates can be suppressed by winding AC and DC cables through ferrite…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Requires outlet

A pure sine wave is what I needed and what I got.

Bought as a power source for the auxiliary heater in my mother's car. I have used 12 volt heating pads with lighter plugs and they are all poor quality. They won't hold up like regular 120 volt AC heating pads - they're pretty brittle by comparison. However, many standard household heaters have controls that just don't work well or at all with cheaper rectangular (modified sine wave) inverters that plug into car cigarette lighters. The electronics in the controllers simply cannot tolerate…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I won't say anything
