So far so good in TV & Video

I received this item a few days ago and started installing it right away. I didn't even open the manual, connect my HDMI cable and turn on the device. Setting up the wireless network was easy, took about 4 minutes and I was connected to the internet. The player asked me to update, which I did and it took another 5 minutes or so (I have no idea what caused the update though). I first played with apps like Netflix and Pandora, both of which worked flawlessly once I activated them through myโ€ฆ

You have a chance to make a first impression. Samsung

I bought this unit to replace my Oppo DVD player and specifically wanted it to stream Netflix in HD to my 61" panel (as well as Blu- ray playback). I tested my wireless network with two laptops at each end of the house and both showed average speeds of over 12Mbps using Speedtest. When Samsung arrived I went through the initial setup with no problems and tested the network speeds using Samsung's built-in utility. I have 1.67 Mbps; It was obviously a lot slower than I expected and tried a fewโ€ฆ

Good for a while, then sound problems

Bought from Revain. I wish it broke sooner because I would return it if it was possible. I've had the device for about 4 months now. At first I only used it for watching DVDs and accessing Neflix and it worked flawlessly. I finally started watching Blu-ray discs on it and encountered a problem. If Blu-ray Disc playback is paused for more than a few minutes, the TV (Samsung 50' Plasma TV) screen saver will be activated. When I try to play the Blu-ray movie again, it doesn't start. The playerโ€ฆ
