Great player but I'm still learning how to record

This is a great player and some things I've recorded from a VCR are of better quality than a tape recorder. I don't quite get it, but it seemed to me that it removed the noise too much. Most of the problems I've encountered have to do with trying to figure out what can and can't be copied. Some movies I've recorded from TV don't transfer to DVD due to "restrictive" laws. These were movies I recorded on my old Samsung DVD player and VCR. Is the problem related to the new Advance technology? I'm…

Save the shows you like

I've had connection issues every time but the cable guy and my geek never had a problem going somewhere else so this may be a girl thing. I have converted many of my old VHS tapes to DVD and it's great to find exactly what I'm looking for. It's a bit difficult for a girl/old woman like me to figure out how to use, play and edit, but once I took the time to learn it was worth the time. The fact that I can play it on my computer is worth every second! I'm still learning how to edit as it saves…

EASY TO USE - GREAT RESULTS!

We've had three or four different DVD/VCR combos and had better luck with this model than the ones that cost almost twice as much. We've been using it daily for two years without a single problem. It is very easy to use with clear and concise manual instructions; direct connection; clear panel displays; and sleek, unobtrusive appearance. Creates high-quality discs and cassettes - whether recorded from TV or in between. Fast navigation and editing/finishing is easy! We have created many DVDs and

Samsung DVD-VR375

I've had the recorder for about 3 weeks and so far I'm very satisfied. I connected it to a Samsung DLP LED widescreen TV with an HDMI cable. The resolution of the converted DVD movies is amazing. AnyNet+ feature allows you to control both Samsung devices from one remote control. But I naively thought that I could rip movies from premium satellite channels to DVD for later viewing; no "copy protected" films will be transferred; but you can record them using the VHS function of the recorder (the…

Do not buy; Goes asynchronous and doesn't load firmware

Samsung DVD-VR375 test 07/15/10 I bought this device in June 2009 despite conflicting reviews. Initially I had some problems with the picture and sound being out of sync. I called Samsung tech support and found a good tech who told me how to "reboot" the device. (In case it might help the reader: Turn on the unit with no disc and wait for it to say "load" followed by "no disc". Hold the channel [CH] up and channel [CH ] Down buttons pressed simultaneously for ten seconds. After that, the unit…
