Average Price

I would say this is the average price. I've seen a lot of reviews saying it's good value for money, but I'd say its performance is what you'd expect for the price, maybe a little less than you'd expect. It's not in the same class as the 35 2.8, 45 1.8 or autofocus 1.4 lenses they make in terms of image quality. If you want to take a wide-angle walk around a full-frame almost pancake lens for fun, this is for you. For web, it's fine at f2.8. If you always shoot stop, this can be a real winner…

Compact and sharp.

I'm a photographer and vlogger. This is a non-GM lens so don't expect it to behave like a lens. However, I am not yet disappointed with the pictures I get of it. It's sharp, with acceptable roll-off at the edges. The focus ring rotates smoothly (your mileage may vary). It's great for videos too. When I used it, the engine was quiet. It's wide enough for your own camera, and its size makes it a great lens for vlogging. Its compact form factor makes it a fantastic all-round lens for mirrorless…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Expensive insurance

For the money and weight this lens is very good

I bought this lens for hiking and used it with my Sony a7riii. My major is landscape photography. I was drawn to this lens for its small size and lightness, good optical quality (according to reviews) and ability to do macro photography. Firstly, this lens exceeded all my expectations. I have a lot of Sony GM glass and this lens doesn't quite match those lenses; however, it's only worth a fraction of the price. If you are looking for light weight and reliable performance, look no further. I am…

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some cons

Very weak lens. It knocks down the geometry, after which it is difficult to straighten it in the converter, so you need to shoot it taking into account future edits, because part of the image is cropped. In the open, the sharpness is normal, not ringing. From 4 onwards it is very sharp. A very ambiguous lens is obtained because of this. It is very difficult to shoot architecture or interiors on it because of the blockages. Good for landscapes. Nested photos - the first 2 with the correction of…

Pros
  • The size Autofocus speed
Cons
  • On the open detailing at the edges of the frame sags. Hard geometry distortion.
