It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

Extremely high quality optical lens. 10 out of 10. Bravo! The mechanics came out well. The finish / alignment came out very badly. Focusing physics, not like Zeiss or Nikkor (old / new), u37 or industrial, where everything is clear on the thread / guides. A millimeter step back and forth is a noticeable difference. Here, the lens block has an uncomfortable backlash / goes skidding, when turning the ring 1-2mm left and right to adjust. If in the city you can focus on frosted glass or picking…

Pros
  • Uncompromising sharpness. Ideal. Good contrast. (Something between Nikkor D and G) Perfect bokeh. Wide rubberized focus ring. Small vignette (-2ev angles) goes off at ~2.8-4 Smooth focus ring Writes all information to EXIF. Ideal for static, posing, objects, interiors.
Cons
  • All lenses have the infinity scale off by 3-4mm (flight at the extreme position) Can be corrected in the SC in Hong Kong. Moved MDF to 36-40cm, instead of 30cm. Go SC. Smooth / jelly move of the focus ring (lubricated play). (focus peaking between >0 or LV) Difficulty focusing beyond a couple of meters. Irresistible weight. Expensive 77mm filters.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Do not expect a miracle, working on 1.4 is not comfortable. You have to close at least 2. Buy this lens only for single-frame cameras. If you have a crop, then the usual cheap Nikon 35 f1.8 shoots better, and it will also catch the focus itself. It makes sense to take this lens only for full-frame cameras, combined with an ardent desire to save money.

Pros
  • Relatively cheap, many offers on the secondary market. Nice picture, starting from f4.
Cons
  • Heavy like a Soviet tank. At f1.4, it lathers noticeably and unpleasantly. Straight foo. On f1. 4 vignette shows itself strongly.

Great Lens for Electronic Photographers

This lens brought new life to my electronic photography! The depth of field is phenomenal and the bokeh created is stunning. The autofocus is quick and accurate, making it easy to capture fast-moving subjects. The only downside is the weight of the lens, but it's well worth it for the quality of the photos.

Pros
  • Excellent depth of field and autofocus.
Cons
  • A bit heavy.

I'm completely satisfied with the product, it works.

An excellent everyday lens despite the lack of auto focus. I filmed the last trip to Amsterdam on it practically without taking it off the camera and not because I no longer understood how it was done. :) I shoot mainly on it periodically changing to "wide" tokina 12-24 dxII and excellent Sigma 50 1.4. I bought used under the Rokinon brand for 13,000 (for ours) in excellent condition.

Pros
  • Excellent resolution wide open. You can shoot a night city at shutter speeds no longer than 1/60 at iso not exceeding 800 (handheld). Automatic exposure metering, focus confirmation works and EXIF is written on the younger cameras in the Nikon line. Looks reliable, nothing backlash.
Cons
  • True infinity is 3 mm earlier than marked on the scale (I heard it can be corrected, but my hands do not reach). Pictures from it, under certain conditions, come out underexposed by -0.3 / 0.5 steps (it doesn’t matter, you get used to it quickly). Outside, all plastic, while large and heavy as all-metal. :)
