No professional level!

I bought these colors after watching Shaida Campbell's YouTube video tutorials. If you like chalk or opaque watercolors, you might like these. Colors are vibrant but as can be seen in the photos most are translucent to opaque. Also, the paint leaves a "bloom" when thinned, which sets the color straight away (no "waiting" or drying time of thinning and thinning the paint. Seriously, I could and should have bought Daniel Smith paints instead. Disappointed!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Something different

Where do I start? Well, the first thing you do with this set is that you have to wet the pots GOOD so they stay in the pot. Pan colors are sandy and some feel chalky. When I compared the colors most were bright and beautiful. Some are not transparent. But not bald at all. Metallic is not very shiny. Pearl white is quite decent. For the price this is a great set and you won't be disappointed. I'm happy with that.

  • Pretty

Mungyo is prima/art philosophy in disguise.

I bought mungyo watercolors to see if they were as good as primates and since it's about a dollar a color I thought it was reasonable. I sincerely believe they are the same, just branded differently. Twenty or thirty dollars for a 12 color set compared to $50 for 48 colors makes this a bargain. I am not a professional artist and only use them to add color to my stamped card making images. Silver and copper don't mix that easily, it takes a little effort to mix the two colors together, but…

I would rate them higher if the price was lower.

Let me start by saying these paints aren't bad, they are very similar in quality to Prima Marketing Watercolor Confections and Jane Davenport Watercolors and if you already have these watercolors this set will do most likely just duplicate them. The jar is really nice, the colors are good, but I think this palette should cost a little less. I paid $50 which is honestly a lot less than buying so many paints in the Prima line, but I was still expecting more with so many good quality, inexpensive…

No Quality Control

Received a used set with scratches and dents throughout the metal case. To their credit, Revain replaced the kit immediately, but the replacement kit also had dents and scratches, although not as severe as the first kit, and this time the colors were new. There were also spots in the inner mixing bowl where the enamel paint wasn't applied properly, causing it to foam and separate from the bowl. Mixing paints on it will eventually lead to rust. As for the paints themselves, some paints look very

Love the new watercolor set

Bought these to see how good they are. I saw a review saying they are good but don't stay in pans so I bought them because I want to see what the color is like what the colors are like and they have so many colors to choose from and so I tried an investment you. This is my honest review, they seem like a good paint, they have so many colors to choose from, they are easy to wet, color match and paint on. I had to work with each bracket in the metal pallet to bend them forward so I could lift and
