Sargent Art Premium Coloring Pencils, 52 Assorted Colors & Metallics Pack - 22-7294 Review

I use it for garden arrangements so it's perfect for a variety of flower colours. I would have bought the original for almost half the price, but this new version supposedly had a "case" as such. Very disappointing as the pencils fly everywhere and fall out of the flimsy cardboard. If the package and the 6 metal pins are the only difference, buy the original at $5 as you still need to find a way to keep them. I think a plain box would be better than an open container that doesn't prevent them…

This is a good pencil set if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a good size colored pencil set. They definitely have a good range of colors and each pen is labeled with its exact color, but once it gets even a little boring, which is quicker than others I've noticed, you have to press hard to make some colors darker. For coloring these are the worst colored pencils I know. The lead is hard, the pigment is dull, and almost impossible to blend and layer, no matter how much pressure you apply.
