The Boa system was the main attraction of this shoe. When I received them I am very satisfied. Lightweight, very flexible, boa lace is so good. Fairly soft and thin midsole and lacking slab/underfoot protection so most likely NOT designed for sharp or frequent rocks/gravel/climbing. My first pair of Saucony shoes from Altra, the fit is very similar and roomy.

    Pros
    • Great shoes. Feels very comfortable. I love the Boa system
    Cons
    • Uncomfortable when walking.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Suitable for easy trails but not for technical trail running.

I really wanted to like them, but for serious trail running they lack any protection in the forefoot. No stone slab and little midsole protection. Under these things you can feel every stone. Just roll a tennis ball under your fore/midfoot and you can feel every aspect of the curves. All I can say is that they took the Freedom ISO (love) and put in a more durable outsole without paying much attention to the needs of trail running. They've also reduced the cushion on the front, right under my…

    Pros
    • I bought them a size larger than usual but had to go back to my normal size. I have wide shoes but I worked fine
    Cons
    • Wrong size

Would recommend but after some walking it split down the side.

An update for these shoes. I still love them and they are constantly in my rotation. But. There are slits running down the sides of the shoe where the laces go and I noticed that one of them appears to have been split and torn. Well these shoes didn't catch on anything so it must be because they walked in them and they just broke off the west. So I have to shoot down some stars for that. These shoes should hold up better. The division is small, but I believe it will grow. I love these shoes…

    Pros
    • Ideal for disc golf.
    Cons
    • Limited sizes available

Cool looking shoe but it cuts into my Achilles tendon.

The shoe looks and feels great except the "foot hole" edge has a hard edge that cuts into my Achilles tendon. I love the Boa lacing system, but the discomfort of wearing the shoe was the deciding factor.

    Pros
    • Great looking, very comfortable sneakers with a practical Boa closure. Murderer!
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for people with wide feet.

Great special shoe, not an all-rounder

Great pair of LIGHTWEIGHT trail running shoes. Construction/BOA: I often use trail runners as hiking/casual shoes, but I think these will be dedicated trail running shoes. They're very light and have almost no drop, so don't expect a lot of arch support or anything else that will stand up to daily wear and tear. The upper is a single-layer mesh with a TPU overlay, making it very breathable but not durable. They are also not waterproof, so water and dirt can easily get into the shoe, although it

    A little bit small

There is no verdict on the quality yet, but it is a bit small for me. I went back to my "regular" size, which I wear in all Nike shoes, and ordered a half size up instead. Half a size up from my usual Nike size fits me perfectly.

    Pros
    • The shoe has a strong and durable construction that ensures it can withstand heavy use without sacrificing performance or looks.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for individuals requiring custom orthotics.

    Perfect! feedback from me

These shoes are great. Lightweight and great for running. You are bright enough for everyone to see you. Your legs look radioactive!

    Pros
    • Ideal for medium and long-distance trail running, light weight, shoes fit better every time you wear them.
    Cons
    • May cause blisters or discomfort

I like this! feedback from me

Great shows. Lightweight and with an amazing design. I had a previous Saucony Tenis shoe that I used for over 10 years (I know that's a long time) but I just love the old one until it started losing some parts due to use and age. . And when I bought it I was surprised by the quality. I think I'll have it for another 10 years. Great.

    Pros
    • Great shoes
    Cons
    • May not provide enough support for prolonged standing

    Dig my pros and cons

Good minimums. I've had them for a month now and have never worn them. It's atypical for me (I wear out my sneakers quickly), but I like it. I've been a fan of Boa for a while.

    Pros
    • I love the BOA lacing system. I love that it had half sizes in plus sizes. I have 12 1/2.
    Cons
    • Just not comfortable shoes. Go to Triumph. Better!

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Excellent, durable and comfortable

Really comfortable and the Boa lacing system is still comfortable and secure. I would recommend them for trail running or daily walks.

    Pros
    • One of the most comfortable running shoes I've ever run in.
    Cons
    • May not provide enough flexibility for natural foot movement

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Great shoes - BOA's!

25 higher today and went for a 2 hour run. I did this an hour before my legs started cooking in those simple ovens. zero airflow. The laces are tight at the ankle and loose from the middle of the foot to the toes, they rub a lot. Little fingers are raw. I took off my shoes twice to cool down, it was very painful to go home. Understand these are trail running shoes, grass as much as I could but both on and off pavement. Guilty? You decide.

    Pros
    • This shoe was comfortable for my short runs and daily training.
    Cons
    • Adequate arch support may be lacking

Boa for the win - my new test report

The Boa lacing system is amazing. I love the colors, the fit and the feel. More like a minimalist shoe but with more sole and cushioning than the NB minimalists. I wish more shoes had the Boa lacing system. Fit is available.

    Pros
    • So easy. Top handle - it's that easy
    Cons
    • Shoes ruin my husband's figure. So I tried them too, they bother me too :(

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    For light trail running

The BOA lacing is great and the shoe does exactly what I expected: light trail running. The size is a bit too big and I think this is where BOA does its job.

    Pros
    • Very comfortable but seem fragile. The time will show.
    Cons
    • I've been running at Saucony for over 10 years. This couple didn't have the same feeling. Usually comfortable shoes, but not this time

    I hated giving them back!

I read the reviews. I watched the video. I love Saukoni! I liked the BOA system. I liked the weight and flexibility of the shoe. But I had to send it back. Cannot lift heel. The shoes are a perfect 5 minus the heel issue.

    Pros
    • The BOA system works very well. The shoes are very comfortable and the grip is amazing. Worth the price.
    Cons
    • May not be breathable enough for hot weather

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Cool runners in my review

These are interesting shoes with a dial used to tighten the strings! Then they are light and flexible, but at the same time durable. I like my pair and you can't have them.

    Pros
    • A little tight, but wear them and you'll be fine.
    Cons
    • Only available in one color option

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great heels for the desert. Great outsole, midsole and BOA

The shoes are in excellent dry condition. I absolutely love this shoe, it's unlike any shoe I've run or owned in. If you are just cruising around town or just relaxing. They're a bit stiff. But as soon as you hit the streets, they come to life. This stiffness results in nice rebound with amazing cushioning. The tip begins to "bend". As if they were activated by heat. And the shoes are quite comfortable. It reminds me of those car shows when they talk about race cars or super exotic cars. Not…

    Pros
    • Sarebbe un ottima scarpa ma la chiusura BOA nn è efficacissima...
    Cons
    • May be too heavy or bulky for some people

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

    Good but bad design

I love Boas, that's why I bought these shoes. The fabric through which the laces go ripped after putting the shoe on a second time, I just have to sew it back on, but the stress at that point is so great that the design is poor. When running, the shoe is nice and light, has a good grip and is not too soft. Good for trail running except they are a little roomy and I moved around in them a bit but still a good shoe.

    Pros
    • super light and comfortable
    Cons
    • Outsole wears out quickly

    Rare Saucony bug

I am a long time customer of Saucony. I regularly do street running in Kinvara and trail running Peregrine and Xodus. Saucony make great on and off road shoes which I love. Switchback is the wrong shoe. Grip is poor compared to Peregrine. The fit is bad too. The BOA system is a poor choice for running shoes. Nob is annoying too. I thought I would love these shoes but I absolutely hated them. The only thing that attracts them is their minimalism. Saucony was to make such shoes with Peregrine…

    Pros
    • Like the shoes. I like the BOA system of dressing. I took them running, they are light and fit my feet perfectly.
    Cons
    • May not be easy to clean

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything you would expect from a Boa Boa

Well built, easy to don, Boas are strong with a comfortable neutral base with no pronation. A little more cushioning in the outsole would have been nice. The Boa cords won't dig into the toes on long runs. It's everything you want in a shoe. Saucony shouldn't change anything about that.

    Pros
    • The shoe's outsole features multi-directional lugs that provide excellent traction on a variety of surfaces, making it suitable for trails and streets.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for people who require waterproof or waterproof shoes.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Just fine my pros and cons

Poorly padded. Labeled as moderate but persistent. Also, there is a minimal drop from heel to toe. I'm definitely feeling more pointy rocks in the balls of my feet. Otherwise good shoes. top quality. i love boaz

    Pros
    • Great product and features as described. I can unreservedly recommend this item.
    Cons
    • Can be difficult to crack
