Description of 🎨 Sax Watercolor Beginner Paper: 90 lbs, 9 x 12 Inches, Natural White (Pack of 500) - 408401

Ideal for beginning artists, young kids, and experimentation with new techniques. Fine-grain texture is smooth enough for precise work, holds mixed media and watercolor well, and dries quickly. Uniform whiteness throughout lends a crisp, clean look alone and with mixed media application. Stands up to rubbing and repeated washings with low risk or crinkling or tears. Sturdy and stiff enough to use for printing purposes, too

bad news for watercolor

someone bought it for me and it's very thin! This is bad news for watercolors, of course. We will send it back as soon as possible.

Pros
  • art supplies, painting
Cons
  • was damaged

This is great watercolor paper!

This paper is extra heavyweight and comes in a box that prevents 500 sheets from being folded or damaged. We are very happy with this watercolor paper!

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Available in Black only

Amazing stuff

I use it with high school students. I like the durability of the paper because we can use it to draw and not worry about the paper tearing if the students get too rough. I've also used it with students for acrylic painting and when we need to peel paint off a part that should be bare paper we use accorto to scrape the paint off and the paper is still there. The only downside I've found is that sometimes the paper isn't quite square.

Pros
  • art paper
Cons
  • old
