The only one that fits in my fryer

I have my grandfather's fryer and this was the only basket I could find that even remotely fitted. We had to bend the basket a bit to get it to fit, as the point where the handle attaches protrudes a bit so it doesn't fit directly into the fryer. We also curved the handle to reach the fat in the fryer.

Perfect size for a standard pot

Ideal for frying small portions on the stove. I have a custom deep fryer but it uses 1 gallon of oil. This is how I can fry even if it's not Thanksgiving! PROS: Perfect size for my pan 7" x 3 3/4" (inside diameter and depth) Sit about 1" off the bottom like it should. At first I thought it was wasting oil. under the basket, but it's the heat reservoir you need very reasonable price CONS: I don't see them BOTTOM: It makes you fat!

Bread dough in a bucket makes amazing donuts when fried in oil and I may want to make puppies or pancakes from time to time. I could easily use it to fry fish or shrimp for 2 or 3 people. The basket itself is stronger than I expected for the money. It fits perfectly in my heavy 2 liter stainless steel pot, so I don't have to use a lot of oil for occasional frying. Even if I have to fry food in small…

It works for me like it's made to order.

This basket appears to be well made from fairly heavy gauge stainless steel and welded together. A hook welded to the mesh at the bottom is convenient for draining the oil after frying food. The mesh is thin enough to hold almost anything, although some fairly small bits of loose breading, flour, or cornmeal can get through while frying. The oil stayed pretty clean of dirt when I used it. The overall diameter of the basket at the top is 7 1/4 inches, but since the 1/8 inch diameter ring around…
