Easy tubeless install

I bought a pair of 35s and they were pretty easy to install and they both popped out on the rim the first time I tried using just soapy water. One of the tires was leaking through the sidewall in two places, but after I added sealant it held pressure.

Pros
  • Handy stuff
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Schwalbe succeeds again

I've used Schwalbe Hans Damphs on my MTB for a few years and bought them for a new touring/adventure bike. Excellent grip on asphalt, grass and gravel. Solid at the corners. I run them at 50psi with no issues, good balance for control, comfort and no rim bumps.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here

Flat for Flat for Tire

I liked the grip and maneuverability of this tire. The most important thing about a tire is that it doesn't have a flat tire. The puncture resistance of this tire is by far the worst I have ever bought. I've been cycling for 40 years. I've had more flats with these tires than I've ever had with any tire I've combined.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Easy to attach, terrible puncture resistance

Runs perfectly, filled with a regular pump. During the first 30 miles, Stans got a 1/4" gap that widened to about 3/8", Stans didn't close it. I installed an expensive dinaplug. Too small, so I put a second plug in. As soon as I got home after 2 hours the caulk around the plugs broke and filled the whole room with caulk. I will never drive these again.

Nice ride but poor durability for Schwalbe

Pros: Easy to install and tubeless mount directly to Mavic UST rims with a standard floor pump. Comfortable driving on road and hard ground/gravel. Cons: Wear on my rear wheel less than 1000 miles. There is another protector in front, I think that will be enough for 2k. I had the latest 2500+ Schwalbe tires but not these. Driven 90% on tarmac, about 100 miles on a random track. The result was a bare center and flat surfaces that the sealer could not cope with. The tread pattern is not suitable…

  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Decent gravel option. VERY difficult to install.

Verified after 100 miles mixed gravel and rail. These aren't bad tires at the moment - grip in the dirt/dirt is decent and they have fairly low rolling resistance on tarmac. I use the 650B version on a Cannondale Slate tablet. They install tubeless the first time and hold air well. However, these are the most durable tires I have ever mounted in my life. I have mounted many bikes and many tires. I always thought Kurt's green practice tire would be the top of Broken Tire Lever Mountain, but…

Reliable performance, great rolling, durability

Decent option, mainly for roads with relatively even rolling resistance. I've ridden them hundreds of miles on gravel and pavement (flat, hilly, and hilly). There is no real single trail. They work well at low pressure, tubeless of course. Easily mounted on Stans rims and mounted perfectly. The tread is really short, only a few millimeters, so they roll well, don't pick up mud/dirt. Decent cornering grip but certainly not aggressive. I've never had a flat tire and I'm definitely not a careful…

Cons
  • Hard to say

Exceptional performance on road and hardpack, questionable durability

I LOVE this performance especially on tarmac and hard dirt. As you'd expect, it slides and slides in the mud, but clears up quickly as there's no tread pattern to speak of. The ride quality is exceptional: smooth ride, minimal rolling resistance and quick acceleration for a tire of this size. It's the fastest tire I've ridden on tarmac, but it still performs well on gravel roads and singletrack. If you mainly ride rougher gravel and singletrack, I would recommend something stiffer with more…
